Happy April!
by Jellyfeet™ Team
Something fun this month: Like many others before, I’ve decided to create a health-dashboard spreadsheet to track my glucose, weight, meditation, food, etc. for the month of April. You’ll notice I’m not calorie counting, but rather I give myself a daily overall food score, 10 being a perfect day. Hover over the black indicators for further description of each column. Feel free to copy this sheet for your own modification.
Have a great month,

For two months, I got my news from print newspapers
“Real life is slow; it takes professionals time to figure out what happened, and how it fits into context. Technology is fast. Smartphones and social networks are giving us facts about the news much faster than we can make sense of them, letting speculation and misinformation fill the gap.” Yet another reason to slow down.

Lonely Japanese elderly are shoplifting in search of the community and stability of jail
A profile of elderly shoplifters: “I was caught, taken to a police station, and questioned by the sweetest police officer. He was so kind. He listened to everything I wanted to say. I felt I was being heard for the first time in my life. In the end, he gently tapped on my shoulder and said, I understand you were lonely, but don’t do this again.”

19 great truths my grandmother told me on her 90th birthdayA phenomenal list and a great tribute to his late grandmother.
One of my favorites: “Beginning each day with love, grace and gratitude always feels better than the alternative. When you arise in the morning think of what an incredible privilege it is to be alive — to be, to see, to hear, to think, to love, to have something to look forward to.”

This cabinet made with Japanese joinery is so precisely built that it runs into a rather curious problem
Such absolute precision that when he pushes the final drawer in, the other drawers pop out due to the air pressure.

Contemplation
“And people get all fouled up because they want the world to have meaning as if it were words…As if you had a meaning, as if you were a mere word, as if you were something that could be looked up in a dictionary. You are [the] meaning.”
~Alan Watts
